<p>|5 July 2022| </p> <iframe src=https://www.youtube.com/embed/Wu7fb2FY7ow></iframe> <p>The NHS is to trial the use of drones to courier chemotherapy drugs in a bid to speed up the delivery of vital medicines.</p> <p>It is hoped that using drone technology will one day enable doctors to make “same-day delivery” orders for drugs and medical equipment from anywhere in the country.</p> <p>A pilot scheme is to be launched to assess using drone technology in the health service, which will see chemotherapy drugs delivered from the pharmacy at a Portsmouth hospital to St Mary&#39;s Hospital on the Isle of Wight.</p> <img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/commonplace-digital-limited/image/upload/v1665401021/projects/caelus/8066b2dd-9b79-4ffa-8246-1086163be288.png" />

NHS to trial 'same-day' drone delivery for chemotherapy drugs

Hello, 
Introducing Project CAELUS, an innovation project part-funded by Innovate UK.  
We’re exploring the use of drones to improve medical care quality and distribution in rural and remote communities in Scotland. 

We want you to participate in a study to understand people's perception of the sound experienced from drones when they are used for deliveries of medical supplies. 

Please use the links below to complete our sound demonstration surveys. During the tests, you will watch videos and rate the sounds that you have heard. You can choose to complete just one or both of the surveys and each will take you around 18-20 minutes. 

The data that we collect will help us to understand the impact of the noise from this technology. We will use this to help develop a medical drone network that minimises the risk of noise disturbance to people.
